Mediation
I qualified as a CEDR Mediator in 2020 and have found it a very helpful means of resolving disputes in a shorter period of time than a Court Hearing.
I can conduct online or in person mediations on flexible payment terms.
Here are some of the benefits:
Involves collaborative problem-solving and does not apportion blame;
Can resolve disputes at an early stage to avoid further stress and upset;
Can resolve disputes that may seem unresolvable, even those that have continued for a long time and are very complicated and entrenched;
Allows for an open forum to share experiences and learn from them;
Can help rebuild relationships;
Only the Mediators and the parties to mediation themselves are involved in this process and the outcomes are required to be confidential;
Can be quickly organised;
Pricing
The cost of Mediation is usually a recoverable ‘disbursement’ in legal costs, meaning that if a case settles at Mediation, the cost is paid by the other side.
Before instructing me, both sides have to agree on my instruction, and to pay my fees. Usually this is payment before the Mediation, but in some special cases I am prepared to flex that arrangement.
For a 1 day Mediation, with 1 day case prep including discussions with parties in advance, my fee is £1,750.00.
This can be financed at 0% over 4 or 6 months.
